1. About these terms
These terms apply to the EVAA website, the EVAA app, EVAA accounts and the services we provide with them ("EVAA", "we", "us"). By downloading EVAA, starting the free trial, creating an account, or buying or renewing a licence, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use EVAA.
2. What EVAA is
EVAA lets an Android phone show Android Auto on a car screen that runs Baidu CarLife. EVAA is an independent app. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Google, Baidu or any car maker. Android Auto is a trademark of Google LLC.
3. Supported cars and phones
- EVAA only supports car screens (head units) that support Baidu CarLife. We do not support cars or screens that do not support CarLife, and buying a licence does not oblige us to make EVAA work with them.
- Your phone must run Android 10 or newer and have the Android Auto app installed. iPhone is not supported.
- Compatibility depends on the head unit and its software, so it can differ between car models, model years and markets. Please use the free trial to check that EVAA works in your car before you buy.
4. Free trial
New users can try EVAA free for 1 day without an account. The trial is limited to one per device. We may change or end the trial offer at any time.
5. Your account
- You need an account to buy a licence and to use EVAA after the trial. You sign up with your name, your own Egyptian mobile number and a password, and you sign in to the app with the same details.
- Your account is for you only. Keep your password private and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens with your account.
- An account can be signed in on one phone at a time. Signing in on another phone signs the previous phone out. A phone that is offline keeps working only until its offline pass ends, which is at most 3 days, and then must connect to the internet to continue.
- If you forget your password, message us on WhatsApp from your account's mobile number. We will send you a temporary password, and you must choose a new one when you sign in.
6. Licences and what your subscription covers
- A licence activates your account for one year from the day we approve your payment.
- The first year costs 1000 EGP. Each renewal costs 200 EGP and adds one more year to your account, counted from your current end date (or from the day we approve it, if your licence has already ended).
- Your subscription is a service fee. It pays for the services we keep providing during your licence period: regular app updates and fixes, ongoing compatibility work across different phones and cars that support Baidu CarLife, your account and moving it between phones, and ongoing support on WhatsApp. It is not a fee for the open-source software itself (see section 10).
- If you do not renew, the app stops starting new car connections after your licence ends. A trip that is already connected is not interrupted.
- We may change prices in the future. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for.
7. Ordering and payment
- Orders are placed from your account and paid by InstaPay transfer. You must transfer the exact amount shown, from an account you are allowed to use, and submit a genuine screenshot of the transfer.
- We check every payment by hand before activating or renewing your account, so processing time can vary. We will notify you in the app and contact you on WhatsApp at your account's mobile number.
- We may reject an order if we cannot confirm the payment. If a transfer arrived but we reject the order, we will return the money.
8. Refunds
Refunds are decided case by case. To ask for one, message us on WhatsApp with your order number and the reason. We consider the circumstances, for example whether the problem can be fixed, whether your car supports Baidu CarLife, and whether you tried the free trial first. If we approve a refund, we return it by InstaPay or another method we agree with you, and the paid period is removed from your account.
9. Acceptable and safe use
- You must use EVAA lawfully. We are not responsible for any illegal use of the app, or for use that breaks traffic laws, the terms of other services, or your car's warranty conditions.
- Driving safely is your responsibility. Do not let the phone or the car screen distract you while driving, and follow local road rules.
- Do not share, sell or lend your account, and do not try to get around the one-phone limit, the trial limit or the licence checks. We watch for signs of account sharing. If we see them, we may shorten your account's offline period, sign your phone out, or suspend or cancel the account. We will also cancel an account paid for with a false payment proof or used for fraud.
10. Open-source software
EVAA is built on open-source software licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3 (GPL v3). Nothing in these terms limits the rights the GPL gives you over that software. You can request the matching source code from us.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
We work hard to keep EVAA reliable, but it is provided "as is". We cannot guarantee that it will work with every car, phone or future software update from Google, Baidu or car makers, or that it will always run without interruption. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for damage to vehicles or devices, or for fines, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Egyptian consumer protection law that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new date. If you keep using EVAA after a change, the updated terms apply to you.
